Trailer of Kanjani 8’s Upcoming Movie ‘Eight Ranger’ Released

Last month, Tokyohive reported Kanjani8 will star in their first movie ‘Eight Ranger’, a Sentai parody corner performed at their concerts.

The movie is scheduled to hit the theater on July 28th, and their trailer was released on April 4th. In the trailer, 7 costumed members make up “Eight Ranger”. The theme song by Kanjani8 is titled, “ER” (Eight Ranger).

Miss Universe Japan 2012 crowned

24-year old Ayoko Hara from Miyagi prefecture won Miss Universe Japan 2012 title and crown at an event held at Grand Osaka Cube this April 1. She was crowned by last year's winner Maria Kamiyama who represented Japan at Miss Unvierse 2011. She will represent Japan at Miss Universe 2012 this December.

1st Runner Up is Sora Yoshimura and 2nd Runner Up is Yukimi Matsui. Completing the Top 5: Emu Shimizu and Tomomi Kondo.

King Records has revealed the track list for AKB48’s 26th single, “Manatsu no Sounds good!”! On April 5th, it was announced that this upcoming single will be available in three versions: Type A (CD+DVD,limited/ regular edition), Type B (CD+DVD, limited/ regular edition), and Theater Edition (CD only).

Tokyo Plans Flower Gundam Event with Life-Size Gundam

 The Tokyo Gundam Project 2012 that includes the "Gundam Front Tokyo at Diver City Tokyo" miniature theme park that will open on April 14 will also include an event from September 29 through October 28 in collaboration with the "29th National Urban Greenery Fair Tokyo." The fair itself promotes the greening of the waterfront areas within the city of Tokyo.

The collaboration will involve the 1/1-scale Gundam statue that is being rebuilt at the Diver City Tokyo Plaza. As part of the collaboration, a poster with a "Flower Gundam" image (pictured at right) will be used to help advertise the fair. 

More details about the collaborative project will be announced at a later date. The project details don't specifically state that the 1/1 Gundam statue itself will be decorated with or repainted with flowers.
