Track List for AKB48’s 26th Single, “Manatsu no Sounds good!”, Revealed!

King Records has revealed the track list for AKB48’s 26th single, “Manatsu no Sounds good!”! On April 5th, it was announced that this upcoming single will be available in three versions: Type A (CD+DVD,limited/ regular edition), Type B (CD+DVD, limited/ regular edition), and Theater Edition (CD only).

Billboard JAPAN Music Awards 2011 Winners list

Today (03/03/2012), Billboard Japan reveal the winners of their awards, Billboard JAPAN Music Awards. AKB48, T-ARA, AK-69 were among some of the winners. It was AKB48's night, as they claimed 4 awards in total. This is a new historical achievement for the awards.

The ARTIST AWARDS are based on fan voting and the CHART AWARDS are based on Billboard Japan sales (and possibly airplay).

AKB48's Yūko Ōshima to Cosplay for Final Fantasy XIII-2 Launch

Idol also acting as beta-tester for Square Enix's RPG sequel

The official site for Square Enix's Final Fantasy XIII-2's role-playing game beta testers revealed on Friday that AKB48 member Yūko Ōshima will cosplay as the game's character Serah Farron for the game's launch event. The website made the announcement because it had received 50,000 Facebook "likes." If the website receives 70,000 Facebook likes, it will announce another character that Ōshima will cosplay. The website also teases a "next stage" if the website gets an unspecified number of Facebook likes.

Ōshima is currently acting as one of the thirteen beta testers for the game. The website is posting video reactions from Ōshima as she plays and writes down her reactions to the game.

Ōshima also co-designed two costumes for the game. The costumes will be posted on the beta testers' website and visitors to the site can vote on which one will be used in the game.

Square Enix will release the game for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles in Japan on December 15, along with a limited-edition PlayStation 3 Final Fantasy XIII-2 Lightning Edition Ver.2 bundle. The United States will then receive the game on January 31, and Europe will receive it on February 3.

More Update About AKB-Takamina in Indonesia

So, apparently aside from having a handshake + meet & greet event today, Takamina also appeared in a local music program, "Dahsyat" (translation: "Spectacular"), broadcasted by RCTI (one of the largest TV station in Indonesia).

She appeared in the middle of the show, about 8.30 a.m.

Takamina Meet and Greet + handshake events has been held successfully today, at 4 pm to 6 pm, at the Plaza Senayan Atrium, Jakarta. Since the offical JKT48 hasn't released any news, I'm just gonna share some pictures taken by a fan, who's also my friend, from Twitter.

AKB48 To Launch Indonesian Sister Group JKT48

AKB48 has officially announced the creation of JKT48, a new sister group that will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Although plans for a Taiwan-based group were previously revealed, it appears that JKT48 will likely be AKB48′s first overseas sister group to officially launch.

The news of JKT48 was announced at an AKB48 event at Makuhari Messe in Chiba on Sunday. The new group will keep the same “idols you can meet” concept, and Akimoto Yasushi will still be the group’s overall producer.

Open auditions for JKT48′s first generation have also been announced, open to girls between the ages of 13 and 18. Applications will be accepted until September 16. The interview round will take place in late September, and the final dancing/singing audition round will be held on October 8-9. The passing members will be announced on the final day.

JKT48 is aiming to debut around the end of 2011. An official website has already launched, along with a Twitter account and Facebook page.
