After revealing the boy cast for the reboot of Hanazakari no Kimitachi e, it was announced just a few days ago that the theme song will be provided by AKB48!
The new Hana Kimi will be starring Maeda Atsuko of AKB48. Additionally, she received first place in AKB48's 3rd Senbatsu Election making her the most popular among the girls. The title to the 22nd single is yet to be known but it will be released on August 24, 2011. The members that will be included in this song will be the senbatsu: Maeda Atsuko, Oshima Yuko, Kashiwagi Yuki, Shinoda Mariko, Watanabe Mayu,Kojima Haruna, Takahashi Minami, Itano Tomomi, Sashihara Rino, Matsui Rena, Miyazawa Sae, Takajo Aki, Kitahara Rie, Matsui Jurina, Minegishi Minami, Kasai Tomomi, Akimoto Sayaka, Sato Amina, Yokoyama Yui, Masuda Yuka, and Kuramochi Asuka.
