On April 7th, it was revealed that Sanrio’s Hello Kitty will be collaborating with the horror film character “Sadako” from the popular ‘Ring‘ film series.
Sanrio decided on this collaboration after hearing that “Sadako” would be returning in a new film called ‘Sadako 3D‘. Hello Kitty has been redesigned with Sadako’s long, black hair and dress though she kept her trademark pink ribbon.
The new series of products will be called “Sadako 3D×HELLO KITTY“, and will be available in 3 different designs. Starting sometime in May, 10 items including notebooks and clear files will be sold at movie theaters.
‘Sadako 3D’ is an original story written by the ‘Ring’ series author Suzuki Koji, and will open in theaters on May 12th. It stars Ishihara Satomi, Seto Koji, Sometani Shota, and Yamamoto Yusuke.
